Otana Oats – Developed from a cross of CI5345/’Zanster’, cooperatively by the Agricultural Research Service, Idaho and Montana Agricultural Experiment Stations and released in 1976. It is a relatively tall oat with dark or blue green foliage. It has a higher test weight than Cayuse and Park, moderate resistance to lodging and produces plump, short, white kernels.
